Extending a helping hand to students, we offer unlimited free samples of the silk that we have in stock.
Students who we've worked with in the past find that this is a great way to not only get a better look and feel of the different types of silk available, but also to figure out how best to handle and work with the delicate fabrics.

If you're looking to call in for a visit, we'll give you exclusive access to our 'bit box'. Here you will find a random selection of silk offcuts, in various qualities and even printed designs.
These short lengths of silk are too good to go to waste, and they're perfect for fashion design students to utilise, so we offer huge discounts on all silk in the bit box exclusively for students.
The content of our bit box changes all of the time (that's the fun part!) and pieces are therefore purchased on a first come, first served basis.

Biddle Sawyer Silks have been a leader in the UK textile industry for over 90 years, and are proud to also be a leading UK silk printer, as the only merchant to own and operate a state of the art digital printer, in our specialised silk printing factory.
We are a close-knit team who all have a real passion for what we do, which translates across both our product offering and high levels of customer service.
