Who we are
Biddle Sawyer Silks are a leading silk wholesaler and silk printer in London and Manchester, offering our services nationwide.
Our extensive history in the silk industry dates back to 1926. While we have grown and evolved as a company, our values remain the same. High standards of customer service and quality British made products will always be at the forefront of what we do.
Few people are as passionate about what they do, as we are. The Biddle Sawyer Silks team are all experienced professionals who are on hand to offer advice and technical support wherever needed, and we are proud to have worked with and built strong working relationships with major UK fashion designers.
What we do
Renowned for our our presence in the wholesale silk industry, Biddle Sawyer Silks’ reputation was built on offering the highest quality, British made silk in bulk quantities to high end fashion houses, designers, students and the general public.
Unique in what we do, we are the only UK retailer to also operate our own state of the art digital printer within our purpose built screen printing factory. With a fully skilled team of expert designers and printers, this allows us to offer two core services: digital printed silks and silk screen printing.
We have the capabilities to cater for varying order quantities, and we provide a unique colour match service in which we can meet your bespoke colour palette requirements with any chosen silk.

How we do it
Relationships with our suppliers begin at the farm, not the weaver. To control quality we guarantee our products begin life in the right way, under the correct conditions. As the raw material travels through harvesting, spinning, weaving, dying/printing and finishing we work alongside our suppliers to make sure every part of the process is controlled.
By working in this way we produce less waste, we work quicker and we keep our workforce happy. This reduces our partners costs, it keeps our people happy and the costs are reflected in our prices.
The way we operate allows us to offer the cheapest prices in the UK and unbeatable turnaround times with next day delivery on all silk orders, and a 4 week lead time on bespoke prints. Whether you are a high-end fashion design house or a student, we will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your requirements are fulfilled and your project continues to move along in a timely manner.
